What is KCET 2020?

Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). KCET 2020 is conducted to provide eligible candidates admission to various undergraduate courses in the state of Karnataka. The professional courses for which admission is provided after qualifying in KCET 2020 are B.Tech, B.E, B. Pharm, B.Arch and BSc.

Application form

Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) had earlier scheduled the dates to fill the KCET 2020 application form from 5 February 2020 to 2 March 2020. On the request of many students and parents, the application portal was enabled once again. KCET 2020 online application form filling started again on 7 March 2020. The last date of submission of application was 16 March 2020. The offline payment of the application fee for KCET 2020 had to be completed before 18 March 2020.

Syllabus

The KCET 2020 is conducted in four subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. KCET 2020 syllabus is based on the Higher Secondary curriculum. The examination duration for every subject is 80 minutes. There are 60 questions asked in every subject.

Admit Card

The Admit Card for KCET 2020 will be released online on 10 April 2020. The candidates can do the KCET 2020 admit card download from the official website of KEA. It is mandatory to carry the printout of KCET 2020 admit card, along with a valid ID proof on the day of the examination.

Exam Dates

The Karnataka Education Authority has announced the KCET exam dates as 22 April 2020 and 23 April 2020 for Science subjects. The KCET exam date for Kannada language test is on 24 April 2020. On 22 April 2020, Biology and Mathematics tests will be held. On 23 April 2020, Physics and Chemistry tests will be conducted. Refer the following table for details on the examination schedule.
